Ear mites and ear infections can be minimized by wiping your pet’s ears with a garlic and lavender essential oil blend. To make the preparation: combine 2 ounces of olive oil with ¼ clove peeled, crushed garlic. Let the blend sit overnight in a warm place. Strain the garlic out of the oil. Dispose of the garlic. Add 5 drops of essential oil of lavender to the oil. Apply the oil to your pet’s outer ear canal twice daily with a cotton ball. This can be used for dogs and cats.
Try adding garlic to your pet’s food. It has flea and worm repellant principles. Garlic promotes heart health and is antibacterial as well. Garlic opens up the airways of dogs who suffer from respiratory illnesses. It is also beneficial for circulatory health.
While many natural remedies are effective for pets, getting them into the pet can be quite a challenge. Homeopathic remedies are easy to administer as they consist of drops that your pet cannot spit out.
